I signed up for my first Bootcamp in January 2016. My youngest daughter’s 1st birthday had already come and gone and I was still carrying around most of the weight that I had gained with her! I also really needed to be able to fit back into my whole closet full of pre-pregnancy clothes. My back story goes a little something like this: my entire life I would yo-yo between being overweight and average size. I never had a handle on how to lose weight without cutting out carbs or only eating 1000 calories a day. I would get results, but they wouldn’t last very long. I had been a member at a big gym before and would force myself to go get on the treadmill for 20 minutes, but it never lasted long because my workouts there were just as much fun as pulling teeth. Flash forward to January 2016 when I saw someone posting on Facebook about the Steel Room. What caught my attention was the nutrition counseling that they advertised. I realized that I am a woman in my thirties now, and I need to stop eating like a 5 year old. I wrestled around with my hesitation and finally decided to go in and talk to Tiffani Taylor about what all they had to offer. I signed up for one Bootcamp! Needless to say, by the end of the first week, I was hooked! Who knew you could eat this much delicious food and have so much fun in group classes? Well you can, and it happens every day at the Steel Room! By July 2016, I had lost 32.2 pounds of fat, reduced my body fat percentage by 13.8%, lost 20.6 inches, and gained 6.4 pounds of lean muscle mass! I ended up having to buy new clothes anyway, but that’s because I surpassed all those clothes hanging in my closet into a size I had never been in my entire life!!! It has now been over a year later and the weight is still off. No more yo-yo diets for me! This place is the real deal! They provide the nutrition and fitness knowledge to help you be successful at weight loss. There are so many gimmicks and gym memberships out there that don’t work and just leave you looking and feeling the same with money down the drain. The Steel Room? Not so much. They are there to help guide and support you every step of the way. You are not just another number at this place, you are part of a family all working toward similar goals. They make losing weight fun! Tiffani Taylor knows nutrition like none other and Christy Phelps is the most encouraging and creative trainer ever. I love this place!!!!
