Yoga Studio

Welcome to the Zen Room

Our aim is to create a loving, welcoming space where the community can gather to strengthen and shine. Strength is not just physical, it’s also mental and emotional. There will be days when you feel weak in one or all of these areas, and that’s okay. That’s why we practice yoga and meditation, to gain self acceptance of where we are. To shine is to cultivate your inner world, your beauty, your passions, your inner stillness, and your compassion and let your authentic self shine forth.

We place an emphasis on the care of your body and offer yoga that is accessible to everybody. That is why we offer specialized classes, classes that offer specific benefits and/or target specific areas of the body.

You do not need to be flexible to practice yoga, in fact most yogis start out on their yoga journey stiff and unable to do many asanas. By continuing to show up and dedicate yourself to your yoga practice, the results begin to happen. We want you to come to your mat and use this space to create what you desire, sustain what you are cultivating and release what no longer serves you. We hope that you will enjoy our new sacred space for the renewal of your energy and spirit.

~Namaste

Hatha Our Hatha class is a blend of SomaYoga, Therapeutic yoga, and Classical Asana. Each class will begin with a breathing practice, then move into dynamic lying or seated postures. The second half of class will include both dynamic and static standing postures. Dynamic postures are excellent for joint mobility, gradual lengthening of muscles and fascia as well as breath awareness. Dynamic postures are considered a moving meditation. In contrast, static standing postures are excellent for building muscular strength, bone strength and stamina. To close the class, we will end with static seated or lying postures, assisting in a deep soft tissue and fascia release.

Core Flow This class to create stability and build overall core strength.  It’s important to realize that our core is much more than having a “six pack.” If one part of the core is weak, it will create imbalances, can cause pain and feelings of powerlessness. From a psychological perspective, strengthening the core can help one feel empowered and ease feelings of anxiety and depression. Get ready to strengthen all sides of the core, including the pelvic floor and respiratory diaphragm.
