Bootcamp – Click for more details

What is Bootcamp?

Every 8 weeks, The Steel Room starts a new 6 week Bootcamp. Our Bootcamps combine Steel Room services and offer 3 workouts per week that are geared toward fat burning, cardio endurance, and weight training.

What’s Included?

Included is a segmental bio-metric screening assessment to find your body fat percentage, and lean mass in pounds, reassessment after the 6 week program, our recipes and recommendations, a unique meal plan (based on your height, weight, age, and activity level), and access to our mobile application and food log! You’ll also be added to our private Facebook group where other members share motivation, ask questions, build camaraderie, and post photos of their food for the week.

Is it too hard for me?

Worried you aren’t in shape enough to jump right in? Nothing to worry about! The Bootcamp classes are modifiable for most fitness levels, allowing each member to individualize the workouts to their needs and capabilities.

How do I know if I need to take Low Impact or Intermediate Bootcamp?

Our Low Impact Bootcamp is an exercise and nutrition program, just like the Intermediate Bootcamp, that is designed and modified for lower impact needs. No jumping. No burpees. If the low impact class time doesn’t work for you, please remember that modifications are given in ALL classes. If you still aren’t sure which class would be most beneficial for you, your fitness coach can discuss this with you during your personal assessment before you begin your Bootcamp.

When are About-Face Bootcamp classes?

Intermediate classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:00am, 6:00am, and 6:35pm. Low Impact classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon at the Gill Street location.

Do I have to be a member to buy meals?

The Steel Room offers nutrition education, meal planning, and meal preparation where the food is actually cooked FOR you. You do not have to be a member or make an appointment to pick up meal prep! No subscriptions, no minimum, and no membership required. Contact us or click here for more information.

How much will it cost?

Prices will vary based on selection and quantity, but typically range in price per meal from $6 – $12. There is no subscription, no minimum, and no membership required to order prepared meals. All we ask is you place your order one full business day ahead of pick-up time if you are ordering specific items. You can order items from our lunch menu during the kitchen’s open hours for same day pick up. Orders can be taken by phone or in person at the front desk.

I didn’t put in an order, can I still get food?

Forget to place your order in advance? You can come into the Steel Room on Gill Street anytime from 10am to 7pm Mon-Thurs., 10am to 4pm on Fridays, or to Washington Street on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm to pick up food from our meal prep coolers!

What food do I eat? How much do I eat?

We can help you figure out the calories and macro-nutrient proportions you need to reach your specific goals. Consultations include a Biometric Screening, discussion of goals, and an Initial Assessment Report detailing nutrient needs. During this consultation, we will also teach you what your numbers on the scale are actually saying. (I.e. Differentiating between losing fat pounds vs water weight, gaining fat pounds vs muscle weight, etc.)

How much is a one-on-one diet consultation?

$120 for a 1 hour session.

I can cook on my own, but how do I know what to make?

Our meal plans lay out delicious, healthy, and balanced Steel Room recipes that are so straight-forward, you don’t have to worry about your calorie/macro-nutrient intake each day. Each meal plan comes with a specific shopping list that tells you exactly how much and what to get at the store to prepare for the week.

How much is a meal plan?

$120 for a one month plan of grocery lists and recipes.
